i draw on paper with a pen. no undoing, no layers. whatever comes out is what it is.

scanning the drawings is the awkward part — the flatbed scanner picks up every wrinkle in the paper, every ghost mark from two pages ago. i’ve started to like that. it’s honest.

the digital version is never as good as holding the paper. but it travels further.
